Once a month our newsletter would carry a Q&A with a woman in the industry to shed some light on different career paths within animation. Although we stopped running the Q&A segment in 2021, we felt that this spotlighting was a useful resource. So, in that same year we began recording conversations between junior and senior women within a specific specialism. Here we’ve collected all these conversations and Q&A’s exchanges which we hope you’ll find interesting as well as helpful in demystifying the industry.

This episode was recorded at the Playgrounds ‘In Motion’ London edition last September. The panel was made of Becky Sloan, Sophie Koko Gate and Laura Jayne Hodkins hosted by Hannah Lau-Walker in front of a live audience inside Tottenham Court Roads ‘Outernet’.
The panel discussed women making super fun funny work, that looked at the process these brilliant directors undertake to create their unique films.
